December 15, 2008. NSCF players excel
in the National K-12 championships.
Congratulations to 2008 National K-12 Sixth Grade Champion Michael Bodek and to Third Grade champion William Graif.
(Two National Champions - that's awesome!)
Congratulations also to the Fifth Grade Co-Champion Mamaroneck Avenue School team of Joshua Colas,
Michael Ainsworth and Andrew Teller; Joshua won the 3rd place trophy and Michael won 4th place. Joshua was also co-champion in the K-6 Blitz.
The Ninth Grade Solomon Schechter team of Ben Gershenov, Max Steinberg,Josh Abady and Alexander Reis won 2nd place. They were joined by Michael Bodek to also notch 2nd place in the K-12 Blitz.
The Fourth Grade Greenwich Country Day School team of Kevin Jordan, Jason Yung, and Malcolm Essaid won a trophy.
(Whew! Oh, wait, there's more.) In the combined Parents & Friends tournament Polly Wright and Alexander Reis were the top coach/student team,
while Michael and Kevin Rosenberg were the second best parent/child team. Also, Kevin's dad Michael won the adult tournament - with a perfect 4-0 score.
