To find your published USCF rating and expiration date:
(1) Go to the
USCF member ratings page
and enter your name or ID in the search field:

(2) Press

to reveal the listing:

Your current published rating is revealed, as well as your expiration date. This is the rating you normally enter in the Rating field of your entry form. Please note:
- If it says you are unrated, enter a zero.
- If it contains a "P" or a "/" (as in 301P or 301/4), just enter the number before the P or the "/." (The P or "/" indicates a provisional rating; the number following the "/" is the number of games the rating is based on. Your rating becomes permanent after you've played a certain number of games.)
- If you are a Life member, enter 12/31/2099
Note: The published ratings are based on tournaments concluded by the first Friday of the previous month. Thus, January 2012 published ratings will be based on tournaments concluded by Friday, December 2nd. Since there could be a lag of nearly two months between the conclusion of an event and the time the post-event is published, the NSCF allows some flexibility, as detailed in items (3) and (4) below.
(3) If the tournament is on the last weekend of the month, the NSCF will try to use next month's rating for tournament pre-entrants, as the list is normally downloadable by then. To find this rating, click on your name to drill down to the player page:

You may enter the rating on the right (next month's rating). You may also enter this rating when it is not the last weekend of the month but you need it to qualify for a higher section.
(4) There is another rating you can use, but only in order to enter a section with a minimum rating requirement. To find this rating, click on the

tab. This shows your post-tournament ratings for all of your tournaments:
If the post-tournament rating of your latest tournament qualifies you for the higher section you wish to play in, you may use that rating instead.
