Chess Instructor, NSCF Education Director
Mike Amori is an experienced chess instructor and coach. He is the Education Director of the NSCF. Mike coordinates much of the curricula instruction that the NSCF provides to various school districts. He is constantly searching for new ways of integrating chess into different subject areas.
Mike teaches chess in schools throughout Westchester and Lower Connecticut, and in NSCF Summer Camp.
One of the more sought-after NSCF instructors, he captivates his audiences with his enthusiastic and entertaining presentations.
Education is Mike's second career. In his first incarnation, he was a Wall Street trader. Mike is currently completing an MA degree in Education.
An Expert chess player, he headed the all-NSCF team (named "That's Amori")
that won Top Company team in the 2000 U.S. Amateur East.
