NSCF Instructor, Chess Club President
Joe started playing chess at 6 years old and started playing in USCF tournaments in 1984.
He began teaching chess in 1998 in numerous schools in Westchester and Connecticut.
Mr. Maher became president of the Bob Peretz Bronx Yonkers Chess Club in 2002.
In 2002, Mr. Maher also became a USCF Tournament Director and developed the
Bronx Yonkers Chess Club website.
