NSCF Coach Polly Wright competes in the
World Triathlon Championship
From May 1-9, 2004, Polly Wright competed in the
World Triathlon Championship
in Madeira, Portugal.
Polly qualified at the 2003 National Triathlon Championships, where she placed 21st in her age group
(Females 45-49). Last year she was ranked 87th in
the country and 12th in the New England region, a notable achievement.
Polly does not compete for glory alone. Last year she raised over $13,000 for the
Leukemia & Lymphoma Society through
their Team in Training program. She competed in two races on their behalf, including the
Westchester Triathlon in Rye, where she finished third in her age group.
She will be continuing her efforts for Team in Training later this season.
