The National Scholastic Chess Foundation (NSCF) is excited to announce our brand new class for beginners! This class is designed for students Grades 1 - 5 interested in learning the fun and exciting game of chess. The class will offer a balance of structured lessons and supervised play time. Each week instructor Michael McDermott will start off the class by teaching the students a new topic and then the students will have a chance to execute what they just learned in live games with their classmates. By the end of the semester each student should have enough knowledge to play in their very first chess tournament. The NSCF hosts these tournaments which will start following the last class.

at National Scholastic Chess Foundation Office, 171 E. Post Road, White Plains, NY 10601 (Suite 206)
